Jay Gilbert

Jay Gilbert was born and raised on a farm in Duluth, MN. One of five boys, his father kept them out of trouble (mostly) with a host of daily chores caring for their many horses, cows, chickens, and ducks. If it mooed, clucked, or quacked, they had it. If they weren’t feeding animals at the front end, they were shoveling what came out the backend. His family owned and operated a variety of small business including a ship chandlery, vacuum shop, electronics store, and a motel. Their business ventures took them on an adventure from Minnesota to Illinois, and finally to Florida. Between farm life and the family businesses, Jay has collected an eclectic inventory of experiences that are the inspiration of his stories. Jay holds both a BSBA in Business Administration from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Saint Francis. Jay lives and writes by the lessons of his parents taught him.
